A dark kitchen is probably one of the most controversial design ideas. It is difficult to imagine completely dark kitchens, most often there are kitchens with dark dominant accents: a furniture set, textiles, one or two walls.

Typically, the predominance of dark in the kitchen can be found in contemporary styles, hi-tech, art deco, minimalism. All shades of dark are loved and bachelors - representatives of the stronger sex.

The dark color in the kitchen space

If light shades visually expand the cramped kitchen space, then a dark kitchen is the prerogative of spacious rooms. The dark background is glamorous, luxurious and elegant. It is intended only for self-confidence and strong-spirited.

It is very important to correctly dose the use of dark shades, so as not to visually make the kitchen heavier. Black color goes well with any color due to its neutrality and looks very good with chrome and steel surfaces of household appliances.

In the right ratio with light shades, it can even visually distance objects. For example, the black ceiling in the bright kitchen will definitely not seem low, and the black wall will perfectly harmonize with the other three bright ones, making the kitchen wider.

You can look at different ideas of the kitchen with dark cabinets, floor, walls, ever carpet and select how much of dark color you want in your kitchen and what exactly will be dark.
